MK4 Seat Ibiza Handbrake Cover Removal

Alot of people decide that the standard Handbrake cover in the MK4 Ibiza models apart from the Cupra is rather boring and plastic.

There are several aftermarket options available but the most common and nicest in my opinion is to upgrade to the Cupra handbrake cover , its made of black leather with Red Stiching and feels rather nice to use.

The part itself can be bought from any Seat Dealer for around £15-£20 and the part number is 6LL 711 461 SHG

1.Locate the square button on the underside of the standard handbrake cover , Get a small flatheaded screwdriver and using the screwdriver pull the square button out. This button holds the non Cupra handbrake cover on.

2.Now pull the handbrake cover backwards towards the dashboard and it should come off , If its not budging give it a wobble as you pull it off.

3.Push the Cupra handbrake cover on until the silver button at end of handbrake is visible

And the finished job looks like this
